Perhaps not all wish to compete for any prizes, so those that wish to make anonymous contributions for this worth while appeal, please pledge your contribution by voting that amount. Details of where to send pledges will be posted here shortly.
I trust that all will respect this contribution method, and use it in good faith.
For those that wish to contribute larger amounts or not anonomously and be in the running for any prizes, please post your pledge in a 'reply post' with details.
It appears that ezboards new software allows for a once off vote/contribution only.

Now that winter is upon us and have been told they're great not just for safety but warm too. I visited their outlet and bought a pair. They are offering a club discount to any direct purchasers, which is cheaper then from retail outlets. Their details;

Hello,
I am looking to lower the foot pegs on a 2001 Suzuki Hayabusa about 2" to get my knees out of the tank. Does anyone know of a set that would do this? Or a bracket? Or can someone point me in the right direction. Anything to keep me from cutting 2" off of my legs would help..lol.Thank you for any help.

This is a mirror to the AHC post:
Begin quote:
Have a set of trick Mototeck Guage Faces (Fitted)I am prepared to donate to the highest cash donation contributor towards our present " Helping Hand " project. Valued at $250.00 Aust. Please pledge donations on this board or via Fast Freddie on the other board. All reciepts regarding monies spent, shall be made public at completion of bike.
Thanks again guys and girls.
Boss
PS To all riders please re-asses your safety apparel ie Gloves, Helmet, leathers, Back Protector's etc
End quote.
I have to echo Peter's sentiments re: protective gear especially Gloves, Helmet, leathers (or race jacket) & Back Protector.
An accident can happen at any time to any one. And usually to those that least expect it. Unfortunately.

Questionable busa noises... |

I have been experiencing a sort of loud 'click' or also described by another as 'take up' noise. Only when from stationary moving off, this sound comes from my left foot area, clutch area. Have been told that when I change chain and sprockets it should go away, but until then I can't be certain, and experience it all the time, anyone else? whats your verdict?
Another strange noise I have only just encountered in the last few weeks is a 'howling' coming from the front always at the same speed of 62-65 kmh. Perhaps under de acceleration and perhaps whilst banking to the side, havent pin pointed it yet. One has said its the tyres, whats your opinion? and anyone else hear it?

everyone who wears a tinted visor should take a look at the article in Australian motor Cycle news Vol50No18 page6 Australia is set to fall in line with the U.K in banning tinted visors Because of the increase in Road Rage Violent Crimes and Motor cycles being used as Getaway vehicles it is supposed to be in force from the beginning of APRIL I haven't herd anything about it being law yet has anyone else
and what a piss off anyway they are basically saying that anyone that wears one is a criminal like anything else if a criminal wants to get a tinted visor he will just like a gun

This is a copy of a post on the "other" board that I have taken upon myself to post here.
I am hoping that any interboard conflict is ignored for the following request. Please.
Quote>>
All Busa Cosmetics..........fairing panels, mirrors, Indicators, tail piece, tank etc etc. All parts must be reasonably priced or preferably free........ as in donation to a fallen rider. Also any trades persons who can help with respraying, plastic welding etc. Generosity appreciated .............and remember could be you tomorrow that needs a hand.
End Qoute>>
The rider involved is not in good shape and we hope by fixing up his bike we can lift his spirits and provide some optimism for the future. Obviously to post a plea like this will give some indication as to the seriousness of the situation.
Please post reply here or email me: michaelprasad@surferdude.com
Thankyou.
Michael.
