Clutch Hell |

I would have to say with the exception of the clutch (or torque limitor) the Bus is the best bike I have owned in my 35 years riding Japanese bikes.
The dealer advised at my recent 6000k service that it is operating normally, but I have been caught out too often where the thing enagages and disengages in a series of violent clunks when attempting to release the clutch no matter how gradually when revs are above about 2000rpm. If I feed out the clutch and the bring on the throttle as rapidly as I want there is no problem, but forget the quick dash from a standing start. The mechanic's comment was either bag it and smoke the tyre or feed the throttle on once moving.
Is this normal or have I a problem - as it stands I would welcome the mod if it is the limitor.

Feeling like giving myself a Xmas pressy, I just priced some Yoshi slip-ons and I found out an intersting point: for only a couple of hundred bucks more, you can get complete 4-2-1 system. Cost was $1600 and change versus $1300. I ordered the 4-2-1

Happy New Year to everyone !!
After my previous post about aftermarket exhausts I decided to buy a pair of Remus Grand prix, carbon fibre, oval exhausts
they look fantastic and they sound great.
Now I am looking at either remapping or fitting a
Power Commander II as I find I have lost some of the crispness of throttle I used to have (Damn)
I expected it to happen
to be honest it is not that bad but enough to annoy me.
So can anybody share their knowledge on the Power Commander II
How effective is the unit as it comes supplied ? I presume using its supplied map and its adjustability you can richen the mixture to find the best balance ?
or is adding a new map more of an option ?
what do they cost here in Aussie ?
what is the procedure to add a new map ?
Apart from the Power Commander site is there any other sites around with more info on the using ,setting and remapping of the unit ?
or is remapping the Suzuki ECU a better option
(the only drawback I see with this is that any changes you may make in the future might require a new remap)
Ride Safe
Brian

Carbon fibre hugger |

Got my carbon fibre hugger on, now. From Geelong Carbon Craft in Brisbane. Not cheap ($300) but looks excellent, and matches the cans quite nicely. The chain guard is removed, as the hugger has a chain guard "built-in".
Pics to come early next year.

Real Power?

G'day one and all,
You maybe interested to play with this, try some risistors of between 180 and 220 ohms placed in line in the wiring harness between some of the sensors and the ECM. The results can be outstanding. I'll let you guys figure it out, but my results are 192-196 Rear Wheel HP with a arrow system modified air box and std ECM. The TPS will need to be set up in a different manner to obtain the correct fueling.
The risistors and their values will require to be set for each system as the ECM on each bike sees slightly different readings.
This should get the juices flowing.
In the wake of 196 RWHP.
Regards Col
Any one have any assistance as to the secret here as i want some of those ponies for sure. Boss

Some one need to keep off the "pipe" here. No way 196 sae rwhp is possible with just installing resistors.

I do know of someone building sensor package like this for the Busa.
But it hasn't been completed yet to talk about it's benifits.

I know how to get a sure 350 hp from a stock Busa by just signing your name to a dumb piece of paper.
As for that 196 hp resistor bit, I understand that if you pass that e-mail to 10 friends and they pass it to 10 friends...within 30 days you'll get Kenny Roberts' bike delivered to your door.

Well Col please advise as to what information is incorrect? All I can add to this is that as a mechanic you "may" know your stuff, but as a person you don't cut it one bit.
You and your type make out that you are the know it all of the business..........only problem is your ignorance as a person betrays you every time.
Thanks for the consideration there Volvi but would have appreciated it more, if you had done what we would have done on our board when we recieve crap such as Col's post...........DELETE it. Funny isn't it,I'm supposed to be the one stirring up the shit. I know what I know Col and as I'm not insecure about it I don't have to put others down to convince myself. Never mind Col you arn't the first mechanic that technology has passed by, and you won't be the last. Boss
p.s. If you want to hang some shit, do it in person like some one with any class would do. Boss

If you let people on your board keep slagging me Volvi I shall return again and again. Delete what you like I shall simply re-post under what ever I wish to. I noticed with amusement you deleted my posts from last night but you left the great Col post up,couldn't even delete the paragraph that had nothing to do with "Denso" plugs. So mayb'e Col shall re post and inform all about my great information error,Oh ! and also Denso's as I'm sure they will be keen to learn new stuff as well. Good to see your board is still good for this type of crap Volvi. Catch Up Soon Boss
