EXCESS PETROL USE

New Busa 4800km. When I bought the bike new I was getting about 380km to a tank. In the last few weeks it has dropped to 240km to a tank. have changed nothing. stock bike with exhausts use 98 to 98 octane petrol. Do not use Shell. No external leaks. Bike shop cannot find problem. They have sent a fax to Suzuki to see if anyone else has had the same problem. Any thoughts Please. Sent to DOMINOID@BIGPOND.COM. Thanks Andrew

If the guage is dropping so fast are you still putting 18-20 or so litres in it? I mean are you sure it's not just a faulty/sticking guage and there's still not 6-8 litres in it?

You will notice as you get used to the power that your fuel consumption will go down somewhat, just because you are a little more heavy handed with the throttle, with realising it.

Hope you find the problem - and that it's not costly!!

Sounds like some of you need to down size your bike from a gas guzzler to a mo-ped if you are so concerned with fuel consumption.
