Air horns on a BUSA????
#31
Hmmmm, they don't look like they'll "fit straight on". The first one's not much smaller than what I got, but bulkier looking.

Also, they say 136 or 138 dB...

My Staintunes are about 128 dB at 4000rpm. The horns are twice as loud... It would be interesting to compare them at the next Annual Convention...

Oh, and the horn should be located just above your radiator, if you look through the front, under the nose cone...

Quote:I had a claxton horn fited to a car, it certainly got attention and puzzled looks when folks didn't see a vintage car approaching. Unfortunately its' too big and heavy to fit on a Busa.

"par excellence"

Hang on Chriss we are on vintage 99 ers, bring on the claxton, I could do with extra weight under the front of mine.

If you were to mix Pans set up and mine you could fit the musical ones on the Bus Pi_thumbsup

We can always ask DJ around sounds like He loves removing & refitting nosecones, Lol2

If you want loud horns in  a compact setup, go back up the discussion and look at the FIAMM catalogue that I placed a link to.
They are perfect and just as loud as the air horns.
They are fully electric trumpets with no need for a compressor.

These are easily obtainable in Australia.

and how loud compared to the air ones?
Around the same db?
And do you reckon they would bolt straight on?

Don't know why I am even worrying bout this.

I never touch my horn....unless Sandra is away for more than 3 nights....then I go wild...Very Happy

Yes DJ, they are loud. By crikey I think I'll finally buy a pair and chuck em on just so I can scare people like I used to on the old Laverda.

Oh shucks, okay...

...but you have to turn it up and put your ear really close to your speakers at the same time as going "vroom vroom" in your deepest voice ...if you want to know what it really sounds like.
