a tracker tracks and prevention is better than cure.. alarm = prevention, tracker=cure. The cure is for when prevention didnt work out

well Mr Raz you pay for the labour and you pay for what you get if you took your bike in for a new tyre and they said it would cost $60 to fit but if you want a crap job we can put on wrong direction for $10 wich way would you go (thats a bit extreme) but you get the point if you want a crap install of a couple of wires then pay the $100 or if you want a good job with wires well hid in loom then pay the extra

When my first busa was stolen it took them less than two minutes. I was standing there within five and it was gone. The whole of Canberra (we aren't that big) were looking for a blue/silver Hayabusa on a blue box trailer pulled by a green gemini within seven minutes and the damn thing was GONE! I couldn't have gotten there fast enough to stop it. Our security guards didn't get there fast enough, and there were a hundred meters away.

I like the idea, but if they want it and they are organised, you can't get there fast enough to stop them.

I dont see why this is so much better - however the option of them being able to start it & the engine dieing about 20mins after is a great option!!

Another thought I had was maybe these cheapy's do nothing & the people selling them collect the addys of people who have bikes then go get them?

I've never understood the mentality of getting a system on a bike that kills the motor after 20 secs etc if its pinched, Unless you leave your keys in it it'll be a couple of blokes with bars and about 15 seconds to pick it up and put it in the back of a ute/trailer. I dont know anyone whos had a bike pinched where they actually rode away on it

i don't mind about installation prices as i will be doing that myself. just wondering if any one knows a place in melbourne that sells a good product at a good price. not to happy about buying one online because i want to check it out thourghly before commiting to buy.

all the reasons above, bars to lift it, security to slow (bike got stolen at front of work, 24x7 security, stupid amount since the whole terror thing. Two guys pull up with ute and hoist, take bike.. all on tape.. security thought it was being picked upfor breakdown so didnt flinch) are why i say get a tracker. I figure the only thing it will do is let me know that smokers out the front of work think its a seat... With a tracker, even if you dont get the bike back, you know where it went so you can at least punch someone.

i dont see your point Raz all alarms are set prices but the one there is not installed on your bike the one Brian & i have are fully installed BUt i installed my own so its the installation wich is the big part of the price

one big thing to look for is make sure all wires are black not colour coded
And rezise you pic next time
