May be worth checking out if it's legal Raz. I heard they are not in NSW!
(then again, most of our exhausts probably aren't either!)

I was always worried about remote starting the Busa while in First gear and it rolling off the stand as I always park the bike in gear and you have to disconnect the clutch pull in safety switch to install the system But my fear is probobly not your fear

have to agree Bill but would you bother to connect it i only want it for the alarm

RE: remote start / alarm - RaZz0R - 14-05-2007

I think you can wire it up so that if its in first it wont start ;)

RE: remote start / alarm - ROD - 14-05-2007

$65 you get what you pay for mine is set up so want start in gear Pi_thumbsup

RE: remote start / alarm - mybb - 14-05-2007

dunno about that rod, you could get the performance deals off ebay (like the one you bought to check out) and you didnt get what you payed for :-)

appart from the initial amusement factor, is there any point in a remote start ? maybe there is.. for me i cant see the benefit but perhaps useful for others

RE: remote start / alarm - BigGeorge - 14-05-2007

I have the Gorilla Alarm with the 2-way pager... love it! Alarm goes off the pager notifies you. And if someone is simply touching the bike it will "CHIRP" just to remind the person you have an alarm and it sends the warning to the pager. And it has a tip sensor. 3 wire install... nice and simple.

They also sell a lower priced unit - $80 I think - without the 2-way pager.

RE: remote start / alarm - mybb - 14-05-2007

how does the pager work, via mobile/cell phone or radio frequency to the remote ? What distance does the remote work over ?

RE: remote start / alarm - BigGeorge - 14-05-2007

The pager is in the first photo underneath the alarm module.
Paging Features:
- Pager displays alarm functions from up to 1/2 mile away.
- All alarm features are displayed on the pager's L.E.D. screen: current sensor, tilt sensor, shock sensor, clock, warn-away mode, screen lamp, range indicator, power-save button, lock and pager vibration mode.
