Difference with 2002 model ?

With most of my bandages removed, a bung finger on my left hand which is in a long term splint, a sore and swollen left hand and right ankle, I just couldn't resist trying out my new K2 black/blue beastie on Saturday, Sunday, Monday and Tuesday.

200 kms thus far and I agree with JustaRider69, black and blue (which is what I am) is not a good omen but after much pondering, it is a great colour for a busa.

I can confirm that the bike feels pretty much the same as the K1 other than the gear selection which is silky smooth and a sheer delight - not much clutch needed here. The suspension feels a bit sweeter but I have replaced the BT's with Michelins, if that's the only reason why.

The stickers were a nightmare - Suzuki please take note and make them more user friendly removable PLEASE! Liberal soakings with Eucalyptus oil on a soft cotton pad, gentle fingernails and lots of patience are the only way to avoid any nasties.

I am riding so I am smiling.

Peoples....

To remove the stickers off the bike you'll need a Heat Gun on a low setting, some Prepsol or a similar wax or grease remover, and a Broken Hacksaw Blade. The hacksaw blade should be snapped off to about 4-5 inches long, ground to a chisel-like point a one end, and the rest of the blade of about 3 inches should be wrapped up in many layers of masking tape/gaffa tape as palm cushioning.

Slowly heat sticker until becomes warm, dab Prepsol on rag onto sticker around edges to let it seep underneath, and carefully scrape sticker off with my tool being almost parrallel to surface to avoid digging in. If sticker gets hard, apply more heat......very simple.

Trust me - it works. When I have to scrape dead bugs and birds off the aircraft windows and leading edges after the aircraft hit them at 400km/h or more, my method works most of the time!!

Enjoy, Peter
