Akropovic slip ons
#16
Megacycle quoted me $660pr in S/S Round and another $100 for Oval and an additional $100 in Carbonfibre.

They unfortunately dont have outlets around the country nor do they have much in the way of marketing blurb. As the guy I spoke to said --if we started to do that the cost would sky rocket.

The only possible disadvantage and it depends what you want --is that the cans aren't exactly lightweight.

He why not take the pistons and rings out as well, that should make the thing spin out harder Do you think suzuki spend millions of dollars developing these engines so that the punter can start ripping bits off them?Sure they have to adhere to emmission laws, but once you start f*&^ing with these things, you get trouble.Even Ron from balls said to me that unless you know what your doing dont f*** with it.Viking no offence but i dont really count drag racing....racing!Its more about reaction times and horsepower.Waiting with baited breath on your replies

Understood Rocket but we were brought up in a capitalist world (& wouldn't have it any other way) where more is always better

I bought a Kwaka 900 years ago & thought "this is it"
135 mph ! it cannot get any better than this, I'll keep it forever but it did get better & I sold it for a faster bike

The busa is top dog at the moment but there is always room for improvement & people get bored with having identical bikes from what I've seen

Ive been down that path too rev,i had a Z1R with a 1280 kit and cams and smoothbores. It went like the clappers, but round town was a bitch, the old licerice frame didnt cope to well either, even with bracing and moto martin swing arm ,so now i dont f*** with them, just a few creature comforts, must be goin soft in my old age.

Your entitled to your opinion Rod, but i want a 4-1 for the reasons explained above being lighter and more HP. As for drag racing theres a lot more involved in it than reaction times and HP although i only intend to drag the busa with the same setup as i street ride it (ie. no lowering, stretching, clutch mods, sprocket changes, etc, $$$). The only other HP item that would be fun is a NOS setup like on Pete's bike. Not that it would be used much but i would have it cause i can and just to have it there.

Can someone convince gforce to get rid of his 4-1 so I can smoke him next time we go drag racing??

Nice one Bill. You gotta start a new topic, this one was too good!
No ants in her pants Heidi, she appears to be feeding it!
Hey rocketman, I heard Action have ordered a large shipment of batteries for a September delivery for a club discount. Good for the members that are hibernating through this winter. (Not riding!)
Cheers, Phil. Riding (In fog like pea soup this morning, without Yoshi's) not talking or hibernating.

Great thread and responses. My bike came with Akros 4 into 1, had them for about a year and sold them ($1400). Not that they were bad just preferred the 2 gun look and I dont think they were giving me any extra HP of significance (was on dyno with another bike with remus cans, Akro showed no extra HP at the time - Col's dyno Sydney). The only thing I miss about them is the comments of riders behind me saying 'Geez I love those FLAMES coming out of your pipes'. Was I gonna argue with them that it might be too rich.

Have 2 Remus can on now for a while, and as far as I am concerned the bike still roars and doubt it would lag behind a 4-1, might even do better as this engine has been very responsive. Drag racing is another matter entirely.

Is that a "pepsi challenge" Volvi?
Let me know if your ever going to the dyno tuners, I'll meet you there. (Just for curiosity purposes of course)
Cheers, Phil. Riding not talking.

If anyone is curious I've just put my bus on col's dyno in Sydney with a Yoshi 4-1 and am selling it because I just bought a Brock Hindle 4-1 from the states, I'll let you all know if there is a difference in horsepower between the two.

Yoshi 4-1 system: 204bhp (with some major mods)
Brock hindle 4-1 : ??????? ( figures posted in 3 weeks)

$ 1100.....Yoshi 4-1 titanium high rise

Cheers.......Paul
