well guys - I am excited & wanted to pass it along - as a test & to really show everyone what the new forum could look like - I found a script to get all the topics & posts from this forum to put on our new home if we all like it.

The script is working!!!!

Its bringing across not only topics & posts - but also user names & details!!

The first step is to bring this data in to phpbb & then in to SMF so you can all see it - however no matter what - with this script & as of today - we have our own full back up of all posts!!!

While we are doing this & DJ is also working on the SMF forum, just let us know things you find that dont work correctly & we will fix them, once we are done you guys wont know it !!!!

Also while we are doing this we may end up having to trash the user name tables in the database - this mean you may need to re-reg as well.

Yep great news everyone.
The hardest part is now being done.
WE WILL NOT LOSE ANY OLD POSTS.
That is the news we wanted.
So stay tuned.
We may have a new fast trendy Board sooner than we thing with all the options we could want.
And also our own wbesite or at least a main front page to lift our profile.
As our mate DB would say it's all "good good!"

Pete, I hear that you need some graphics for the header or something. Let me know the sizes and I'll take a crack at it in between jobs. Do you want flash or normal or both? The template probably came with some sort of placeholder. Wouldn't mind that for specific sizes. I'm still not sure what colours the majority had selected so that info would be good too.

This is now what we are working on re the new forum.
This is the easiest to transfer all our posts over and has some good skins.

PLEASE TEST THIS ONE

At the moment you can go to your profile and choose from 2 skins... the default dark or normal light one.
When finished you would be able to choose from a dozen skins to suit your mood!
Only some posts have been moved across.
Because all posts have not been moved your start date and post count will not be accurate.
Please remember this is a test forum and nowhere near dressed up well or finished.

I like the animation guys it looks great the board is great too I didnt get a chance to have a go at posting pics cause my user name is stolen so guess i wont be on that board anyway

What ever you guys decide in the end it is your descision and we will follow like good lil people on very fast bikes so we will get there quickly I just had a l;ook at the stats on OSB and its getting like 5 -5.5 million hits a month so i guess paul has got things running at that end pretty well but at a high cost

He whinges and whines about the costs but the site stays right where it is and it aint cheap to be that popular so i guess for us to have a top notch site we are gonna have to start making some sort of donations besides our smart arse comments

Bring it on i say but make sure i get my username back or there will be trouble

Oh yeh and we need a really easy site addy cause everyone knows that at 300kmh our brains are a but smushed www.ozbusa.com is great and that way Troy can keep the stickers on my old Busa and I dont have to worry about him scratching any paint Cheers Bill
