I am debating about fitting a new set of carbon fiber cans (probably Yoshi's or Rhemus) to my 99 model. However, I have been offered a full Yoshi 4 into 1, for a reasonable price. I prefer the balanced look of the two cans, but, is there much to be gained in the 4 into 1 setup. Anyone had any experience with 4 into 1's?
4 into 1's offer a little more power in general and a loss of weight which is prob more noticeable. Std system weighs quite a bit when all said and done. Good luck with the mods
I vote for the balance of two cans.
I have ridden busa's with both and reckon the two pipes sound better and the bike runs a lot smoother.
If you are into long rides two is better, open up the breathing with a high flow air filter to match.

had both, prefer the 2 gun look and sounds. bugger that topic got corrupted in the backup process p083.ezboard.com/faustralianhayabusaclubfrm12.showMessage?topicID=48.topic so will post a pic here.

Go the 4 into 1 Yoshi....
It'll pull your arms outa their sockets at around 7500 revs and up......................
As for balanced? Balance this guys

oh Gdy, constructive answer sticking to the topic as always...
Some people believe that putting a 4 into 1 on a 99 model may compromise the strength of the rear subframe. May be worth thinking about if you often carry a pillion or weight on the back...
I just went to Staintune cans (2 of 'em) and very happy with them...

Must admit I like the twin setup too, just looks balanced and has symmetry.
You could always do an """evil """modification Edited by: Gazza414 at: 3/8/05 11:57 pm

Put on your 4 into 1 then take off your muffler and put
on a torque pipe and then see your 1/4 mile time's tumble
works for me Edited by: Fat Busa Racing 1347 at: 4/8/05 12:26 am

I thought I was???
The man asked about the best option. I gave it. THE END.
P.S. How did you go with the balancing?
Cheers,
Thanks guys, however, it sounds like it's down to personal preference. I think I'll stick with the twin carbons. I'm trying to pick up a set of stainless mid pipes at the moment, depends on the final price. As for the cans themselves, I had a set of rhemus cans on the TLR and they went well.
Diablo I might be able to help you out with the stainless mid section pipes someone has been wanting to do a swap with me for ages now but he just hasnt been able to get here I have a complete stock system off a 2002 busa if you are interested in swapping your headers and some $$$ or buying outright let me know bloke

Cheers
Chrome mid pipes wont fit the 99, 00 or 01 models my friend..... as the header section is different.
That was giong to be my next question Gazza.
I found a pair of stainless mid pipes off a 2002 for $70, will they fit a 99?
