Has anyone put a seat pad onto the rear hump? I'm not too keen on modifying the standard seat, but was thinking about some sort of racer-like pad, but better finished and permanently attached to the hump (around 30mm or so thick).

yeah Bob, I've been toying with the same idea...but haven't got mine sorted just yet! I've identified a need for this mod with my personal riding style....juz gotta sift thru a few 'options' now....

Neither idea seem very useful or comfortable....
The latter, just something to resist the backward slide under hard acceleration.

I don't think there would be that much pressure. It would just make things a bit more controllable when giving it the 'berries' in the lower gears. There are custom seats around that have a sort of raised roll at the rear, but I don't like the look.

Wanted to do something like that myself and I have seen a picture of a seat with a little cushion at the back that was detachable to it. It was a member's bike Maj I think. Check the galleries. I'll look through my pictures and if find it I'll post it later.

Cheers for that. I reckon it could even be attached with velcro, so no holes or strong glue needed.

Found it! Yeap mate, I think it is attached by velcro and it looks like it does the good job of support for hard accceleration. I am going to get one for myself as well as soon as I find someone who can do it.

the tobin seat race pad is attached with an industrial zipper so it can be removerd quickly , found this out when i did bruce's seat on his jaffa GEN II
Sadly I'm not very artistic or adept with sewing machine etc. Attached is an attempt to show the simple sort of thing I have in mind, at most its two or three inches thick (50-75mm).
