Cairns to Sydney, a few questions.
#1
Hello all, i am a fellow member with a gsxr-750. I am looking a riding to Sydney from Cairns in late Jan and have a few questions. Has anybody done this trip and if so would you recommend riding down the coast or inland via Charters towers? I am quite comfortable riding around 5 hours but havn't really done anything longer than that, i know a few of you have done big days on the Busa's and how you go with soreness and stiffness? I may have a few more questions hat i could use some advice on, so i'll continue to post in this one.

Thanks for your help guys and gals.

hey Matt, best of the new year mate,

Inland can be a bit quicker but fuel stops can be problematic if you cant get more than about 300 out of a tank. can supply routing info if you want. do it all the time from Brisvegas to Cairns for work several times a year.

Offering a bed in Bris if you need.

The first 2-3 days you'll get a bit sore but it's amazing how that goes away after a few days once your muscles and body condition to it. Lots of inland options that would be a much more interesting ride (particularly SE Qld and NSW) as long as you have the time.
