Cairns to Sydney, a few questions. - matty85 - 02-01-2009 Hello all, i am a fellow member with a gsxr-750. I am looking a riding to Sydney from Cairns in late Jan and have a few questions. Has anybody done this trip and if so would you recommend riding down the coast or inland via Charters towers? I am quite comfortable riding around 5 hours but havn't really done anything longer than that, i know a few of you have done big days on the Busa's and how you go with soreness and stiffness? I may have a few more questions hat i could use some advice on, so i'll continue to post in this one. Thanks for your help guys and gals. Matt RE: Cairns to Sydney, a few questions. - tomrux - 02-01-2009 hey Matt, best of the new year mate, Inland can be a bit quicker but fuel stops can be problematic if you cant get more than about 300 out of a tank. can supply routing info if you want. do it all the time from Brisvegas to Cairns for work several times a year. Offering a bed in Bris if you need. Lots of inland options that would be a much more interesting ride (particularly SE Qld and NSW) as long as you have the time.
