Dear Pinky,
Perhaps you could ask Mick Hone if your bike was the Brock Replica model. Just when you think it's gong well, it dies on you.

We had a great day, doing a lot of modifications and bits and pieces to quite a few bikes. The day started out slowly with a lot of story telling and yacking, but then the pace picked up and quite a bit of work was done. The man who did so much work did not even get his bike looked at. So we need to have another spannering day in the not too distant future, so we can repay the work done by the master himself, - Rod.
I learnt a lot about bikes today and found out that Chinese spanners snap quite easily Thanks to all who came and made the day such a success. Volvi Raz AzaVic Maggot Hayabusa Rod MintPaul and Mekros BTW, there are a few bolts and nuts left over, so if anyone is missing anything, they can be found in my "Chinese" bucket Here are some shots of the day s147.photobucket.com/albu...ing%20Day/ Awards for the day AzaVic who is really good at rubbing (a deep yearning emerged today) Maggot for being able to snap tools (must be going to the gym secretly) Rod for his tireless effort at working on everyones bike except his own. And lastly, Volvi for taking the boys shopping and all coming back with bags in their hands. Brigitte www.myspace.com/pinkangel23006

Now thats just wrong. We turn up to play with the bikes and look like we have an idea what we're doing and volvi takes the boys shopping I'm Glad Rod was there or we probably wouldn't have done anything

Great pics!
Sorry to hear about your bike Pinky. I'd be inclined to put the heavy word on Suzuki and ask for a good deal on a Busa now! "sometimes crime does pay"

it was a great day for tinkering and we all had a tinker of sorts. not sure if Pinky ever got to feel the dremmel but she was a gracious host supplying drinks and bangers and getting her hands dirty, so much thx to Brigitte for the day. It was a big hit. maybe we'll look to do one once a month but cant impose on our gracious host each time.

Wow - thats nearly all I can say - just got back home now...
I dont even know where to start: Thank you to everyone for today I had a wonderful time!! Lots of laughs as well Pinky - ZOMG! Thank you so, so much for the drinks & food! I am thinking next time we should all throw in for a kitty & get munchies & stuff, But thank you so much for the use of your place & everything. Maggot, thanks for showing me how to change a rear sub frame!! Had never taken off those plastics before and those blinkers!! Volvi - thanks heaps for showing me the TPS Rod - thank you for the solder job for the rear blinkers The hump mod rocks!! ok I stuffed up a little - big deal - its lookin good I'll do a clean up jobby on it before jindy If anyone needs their PC's fixed - let me know I did learn today that we all have to list up what we want done, then sort out what can be done in what time period & what tools will be needed?? (Not china ones ) Also I forgot the service manuals & my guide for spring setups as well. So lets setup this again very soon - like another before jindy so if anyone needs stuff done we can do it. Also sorry I had to run off - was running out of time. Ended up at my mates place - took off the can that was damaged - pop-riveted it back in to place & re-fitted both cans - got them sealed up right & level - also I went to work with some good metal polish he had there - WOW - now everything is shiny best thing however: I think this is a combo of me lifting the idle up when Volvi showed me the TPS & getting the pipes sorted.... In short - there has been a - well not massive - but big change in low down power shes rocking well now & sounding MUCH, much better. So thanks again to all!! Whens the next one? I'll do the shine jobs hehehe "Busa riders always count in three's.... 100, 200, 300" Edited by: RaZ80 at: 13/1/07 22:51

Just when you think it's going well, it dies on you. Considering Mick was a personal friend of Brocky for years and was also in the car when Brocky died .............. should go down real well ...... NOT Some on this board personally new those that have sadly passed. FF1
