Melbourne Spannering Session!!!
#1
Date: TBA

OK - Myself & some others have talked about this once before - in short there are a few of us that would love to get together & do set things to our bikes & learn a little as well as setup suspension settings & maybe learn a thing or two extra about maintenance for the mighty beasts.

So I figured we could all put down things we wouldn't mind doing & then we can agree on a place & date to do it all??

Stuff I wanna do:

Fit the grill mesh in to the cut outs for the fairing
suspension settings
Maybe learn how to adjust the throttle bodies??

will think of more stuff later but wanted to get this going ;) add thoughts!!

Ive got spanners.. hhaha.. nice special ones i bought for working on the fourby.. shame I have no clue on how to use them on a bike.

Rode a track kwak on the weekend... the rear is jacked up, carbon brake pads and on the fly adjustable steering dampner.. nice.. .. oh my point, jacking up the back made so much difference.. Of course its a different bike to the busa, but would it have the same effect ?

I would also be interested in getting rid of the black holes with some mesh.. Also want to adjust the suspension as Im a big boy and have a pillion most of the time but have never bothered changing it for increased load. Would be great to have someone with a clue to help with these things.

Just a thought, I could probably get access to a bike workshop with all the tools etc including air lift bike hoists and stuff after shop hours in ballarat. Probably dont need it for the things listed so far but I thought I would put it out there.

Other things I thought of:

Hump mod so I don't have to take the damn handle off all the time!!

chain adjustment - only because its been sooo damn long sice I have done my own - even then it was someone showing me - to learn I need to do it & have someone there in case I f*** it up

Fit new rear blinkers - also rear hugger but that may have to go to balls when I get new front tyre & other bits put on as well.

Also I wanna clean out my fuel pump & change clutch fluid & bleed

Voli - that sounds unreal mate!! Lets see if the other Vic people wold be up for it all??

Great idea Raz, that is something I've been wanting to do since the first day I got BIG LOVE (My BUS).Learn about set-up is something I'm really interested in because as you know I'm two up a lot of the time.I like to pick Ron's brain from balls when I see him cos he's not to shabby when it comes to telling things about the BUS.
