I'm going for a ride on Saturday the 17th.
01Busa and Garry said they may come too.

Any ideas where, what time, etc?
How long would it take to get to Bathurst and back?
What if we started ridiculously early?

Bathurst is about an 1hr from my place in the Blue Mountains so if your from Sydney metro it's probably around 2 & a bit hrs. some very nice rides out that way

Who would be keen to do a real early Saturday ride?
What if we met at Rose Hill Maccas (as usual) at 6am, rode to the mountains by 7am, then on to Bathurst for breakfast...?

If all the guy's met at.... say the Mt Victoria pub (easy to find meeting point) at 7:30,8:00am you'd be at Bathurst by 9-9:30 at least, just in time for a nice breaky (I haven't stopped at Bathurst for years so I'm not sure where you would grab a good breakfast).It's a nice ride though and yes you'd be back weeeell before dark (you could even do a loop via Jenolan Caves - Oberon - Bathurst - back to Lithgow to Bells line of road... oooooh this could be good , all the guy's should be ready for another ride after Jindy.

10:30 head to...?

I think I may have turned off some of the other guys with the starting time, but we'll see what happens...

Haven't been out Bathurst way for years maybe the boy's could suggest some spots to stop and check out etc, I know the Mountains well (nice lookouts/photo op's and cafe's etc)
Should be a great ride though .

I'm asking a couple of mates along too (an R1 and a Harley bloke), but I think the time will lead them to say no (like Simmo).
