Sydney ride on Saturday the 17th of December... - pan - 30-11-2005 I'm going for a ride on Saturday the 17th. 01Busa and Garry said they may come too. Any ideas where, what time, etc? How long would it take to get to Bathurst and back? What if we started ridiculously early? Who would be keen to do a real early Saturday ride? What if we met at Rose Hill Maccas (as usual) at 6am, rode to the mountains by 7am, then on to Bathurst for breakfast...? Big Steve, I don't get to go on many rides, so I'm psyched about this one. What time do you think is reasonable? "sometimes, crime does pay" Employee of the Year Easyrider Imports www.easyriderimports.com.au Ride - Big Steve - 03-12-2005 If all the guy's met at.... say the Mt Victoria pub (easy to find meeting point) at 7:30,8:00am you'd be at Bathurst by 9-9:30 at least, just in time for a nice breaky (I haven't stopped at Bathurst for years so I'm not sure where you would grab a good breakfast). It's a nice ride though and yes you'd be back weeeell before dark (you could even do a loop via Jenolan Caves - Oberon - Bathurst - back to Lithgow to Bells line of road... oooooh this could be good , all the guy's should be ready for another ride after Jindy. Steve. Re: Ride - pan - 03-12-2005 What would you estimate Parra to Mt. Victoria? 1 hour? ride time - Big Steve - 03-12-2005 It's about 1hr 15mins Re: ride time - pan - 03-12-2005 Sounds great. I'm in. Meet at Rose Hill Maccas on James Ruse Drive (Parramatta area) at 6am for 6:15am departure ( ), then meet at Mt. Victoria at 7:30am... Steve, can you give me a rough itinerary... ? 9:30 breakfast at Bathurst 10:30 head to...? ???... return to Parramatta I think I may have turned off some of the other guys with the starting time, but we'll see what happens... Cheers Steve Re: Sydney ride on Saturday the 17th of December... - gumby - 04-12-2005 Pan, Bronwyn and I will come. How about we meet you at mt VIC.BUT JUST DOWN THE ROAD FROM THE PUB AT THE GARAGE AT THE TOP OF THE PASS. [WILL BE OPEN AT THAT TIME OF THE MORNING AND SERVING COFFEE.] WE'LL TRY TO GET THERE 7:30 FOR AN 8AM LEAVE. we could do a few back roads to bathurst[tell you which one's when we see you and make it a bit harder for the copper's to find us!] Tony. Re: Sydney ride on Saturday the 17th of December... - simmo - 04-12-2005 Mt Victoria at 7:30am not that keen It would have to be bloody good coffee Cheers Robert World Wide CEO Easyrider Imports www.easyriderimports.com.au Re: Sydney ride on Saturday the 17th of December... - pan - 04-12-2005 Sounds great Tony. Steve, is the servo okay for an 8am departure? I'm asking a couple of mates along too (an R1 and a Harley bloke), but I think the time will lead them to say no (like Simmo).
