Battery dead

Ah man, I hate it when you have a plan and then it gets shot down in flames! Rang up an online battery store to order the Motobatt MBTX9U which was recommended for the Gen 1 but it only has 160 CCA. The old Yusas YTZ14S has 230 CCA. Had me a little worried, the dude on the end off the line talked me into a
Model No LFPZ14-S
Description SSB LFPZ14-S UltraLite Lithium
Weight(kg) 1.1
Brand SSB

The CCA is 290,
Was $165.33 plus $14 postage! And apparently I don't need to charge it! I read some off the old threads and one off them said they left the bike for 12 months with an alarm on it and it started first go! So I save $80 on a charger as well! Hope it goes ok. Fingers crossedUndecided

When I start to get more bikes in the shed (my wife reminded me that when the new bike turns up I will have 3 in it until I sell some) I will deff look into a lithium battery. They do sound great for long storage as you don;t need to worry if charger has failed and drained, instead of filled, bike battery.

I just took both batteries from 99's (one is the panabusa) and both of these old yuasa batteries still had 220 CCA - so still fine and no need to replace either. So the Motobatt with only 160 CCA seems a backward step? I was looking at getting one new battery and keeping the best out of the two older ones. The lithium seems to be the go, mate.
