thanks for all the imput guys

i have been told the bottom ends are good for 350hp

its the heat in the top end i worry about so i thought bigger exhaust valve to let the heat & hot gas out and obvious cam grind for duration and lift on the exhaust valve

ss valves and the bits and pieces associated with them as you guys have mentioned

i am only a novice when i am talking mechanics so correct me if i am wrong

Yes, good for 350, but designed for 200.
Was thinking of just using stock conrods on a 1580cc NA Stroker; only 270HP max, but, on advise I'll spend the extra bucs on the conrods, kind of like insurance on ya whole motor. They do break. From what I understand, nitrous is worse as the load from extra sudden HP is more severe.
Oversize valves, nitrous, don't really know, but if the motor is the same CCs as stock, I don't reckon you'd need em.
Cams n Nitrous, don't really know.
Heat n Nitrous, don't really know, but, if ya conrods break, ya stuffed.

More on the type of use than outright hp figures
turbo are gentle on rods always a cushion of air or exhaust backpressure helping the change of direction at the top of the stroke thats why such a high figure is often quoted,
but supercharged , nos, NA or anything with heavier pistons should be much more conservative , then stroker with higher piston speeds i would also put under the heavier piston catogory , the effect on the bottom end would be similar
outright compression of the rod is not something i am too concerned about, bearings are much more at risk of damage from compressive force (detonation being the biggest likely prob)

What does your Mechanic say? Best to go by his recommendations as he knows your setup. We are a taking a stab in the dark what would be the best path.

As for 350HP maybe a Turbo Setup but not Nitrous. Anything over 50-60HP is going to need a controller to bring the HP in gradually so your not hammering Rod bearings as Maj and Grunt stated.

I would probably be looking at Rods, decent Springs and dial in the cams as already been suggested. You may gain by the other modes but not enough to justify them in my mind. Theres other areas to work on to keep the system safe, well as safe as Nitrous can be. Only takes the fuel solenoid to clog and you can kiss your motor goodbye.

How fast do u want to go , what mph & et are u running now , with 60hp of nos lowered should get u into the low 9's & around 160 mph with some practise, even without gas lowered u will get into the 9's , so what are u hoping to achieve ?
