Well for the last two years they have had a twin scroll turbo.
Not as good a car. Yes they have 4 extra kw at the top end but at the expense of an incredible torque curve. The supercharged model with a reduction pully eats em.

The mini is a great car totally let down by build quality and reliability that equals a Lada Niva.
Spare part prices are horrendous and most spend extended time with the dealer for waranty repairs. Read the mini forums for more info on build quality and reliability. No match for the build quality and relaibility of the VW.

Well Bruce, I might be driving a bucket of worries but I'm not bored and it hasn't let me down so far. Except for no spare tyre but hey we don't carry one on our bikes either. I can live with that.
If you think that the build quality is poor, you obviously haven't seen one. It is BMW built and standard throughout. Hmmmm, mini forums discussing problems. We would never get that on a busa forum would we? (Maybe I've just taken a floating bait) lol.

Nothing is absolutely bulletproof,an everything eventually has a problem.
Just general wear an tear. Obviously some things are better put together than others. An sometimes even when its meant to be a quality part, you can get a lemon! Theres variables with everything i spose...

A lady friend of mine had an 07 model supercharged that was purchased new. It spent most of its life in the workshop. I represented her to the dealer and searched up a whole list of claims for similar repairs. As I said its a good car let down by poor quality control.

So...errr...channel 9 has apparently bought the rights for top gear australia...and shane warne is meant to be a host..
http://www.news.com.au/entertainment/sto...29,00.html Sounds like a good plan to make sure that the already extremely ordinary TGA is going to get worse...

If we wanted a show about how to ruin your relationships via text messages,
then yeh,get shane warne to host it. Wtf are they thinking. Spinning balls is one thing. Spinning tires is another.

Top Gear UK is my favourite show. If they stick Warnie on the Aussie version, they are knocking out half their audience. The guy is a fuckwit.

Shane Warne on Top Gear Australia? OMG!
Does she go quick Shane? Yeah Yeah! (Groan) When TGA first hit the screens I read the SBS Forums and the feedback was universally dismal. Then it got nasty. By the 5th week it was so bad that SBS removed the TGA BLOG from the website. It's the same every series. Ch. 9 will only mess it up more. Top Gear UK just can't be copied. It's a unique formula because of the hosts. That's it's strength.

I agree. The UK version just cannot be copied. AUS have tried but failed miserably. They just dont have that connection that the UK boys do.
Mark & I have the UK version linked on our Foxtel IQ so we dont miss an episode.. ![]() ![]()

as much as warny's a tool i will be giveing it the benifit of the dout as i watch TG and love it alot . you never know you actually mite like it ??

The biggest mistake TGA made was to try to replicate the UK version, instead of taking the concept and making it their own. I heard the yanks are going to attempt to make their own version aswell, so if the aussies messed it up, imagine what they will do to it.
