Just watching TG. They are featuring 2 Ausatralian cars.

#1 the Maloo Ute.
#2 the Commodore VXR8 Bathurst - 6L Supercharged beast. Very nice.

Was very funny listening to them pronounce it
Typical pommie accent Barth - Hurst is pretty much what it came out as.

The Stig was giving them both hell around the track. Had them both drifting well......

It was doing my head in the way they pronounced bathurst.
Whats BULLSHITTT though is why do the POMS get a bathurst edition
clubsport an we dont!?
Wtf is with that!
Its our damn track!
They get hsv's rebadged as vauxhalls ( like hell vauxhall could ever make
a car like that) put the walkinshaw blower kits on them an stil sell
it with a warranty!
why cant hsv do that!?

Anyhow its an awesome show tho.
Not the 1st time they loved our cars.
Clarkson in 05 or 06 i think drove our xr6 turbo an lost hes shit over it.
That for the same price you buy a fully optioned ford mondeo there
with around 180 horses you could buy our xr6 turbo.

It was crazy to see how our new MAHHH LOO did the same lap time
as an aston db9....
Not bad for a hay hauler ey ;)

AND i learnt that maloo means thunder in the aborginal language.

Tell me the bit where there making a vw add an clarkson kept putting
explosions in it wasnt funny.
It was hilarious!

I agree, it was the best episode that I have seen so far, even though I couldn't get the image of a bath house out of my mind.

I love the squeal of a supercharger. I hear it every day... skite skite skite.

My hilux ute has one, I love the sound of that
thing squealing its guts out. Superchargers should
be mandatory on all cars.

My aurion is also the supercharged one, yep. you just cant help pushing that little harder and hearing that whine.

That thing on top gear was pretty over the top though!! would be interesting to hear how it sounded from inside. Was positively evil sounding - banshi on steroids!

For the mini there is a range of reduction pullies available to increase the volume of both air getting to the engine and noise coming into the car.
If you own a car with a charger, I suggest you investigate the upgrade and see what an improvement it can generate.
The sound is addictive.
