another example.
traffic stopped at lights.
2 bikes come through the middle of 2 lanes.
1 bike keeps going up to the front and leans on a merc mirror and then squeezes by.
the other bike rider was next to me and decided not to try (I was on my Bus)
I scream out to the second bloke if that was me in that car I would have flattened your mate.
Green light I take off and see the second bike reider telling his mate what I said.
The first bike rider starts laughing.
tell ya some of these guys are on a death wish.
i dont mind going through traffic even running lights etc but do it the right way...not just like you dont give a f***.
look and go but these guys just seem to think its their right or something and if you are in the way stiff. (excluding Gyddup!)

Interesting! Just for the record, I also punt a deadly treadly! I'm surprised at how many Busa members also wear lycra.
All of the above is true to some extent. Cyclists generally do strange things at lights and stop signs, cars and motorcyclists commonly turn left right in front of bikes. Trucks don't care too much because it's mainly a few scratches.
In WA, lots of bike paths, and lots of roads now with bike lanes, but not everywhere. In races here you must have a permit to have a vehicle escort, otherwise only two abreast. Ah shit, every one is to blame, lots of problems. But hell, all part of the colourful tapestry of life we enjoy here in Oz eh? live and let live, be tolerant, etc.
I dont care if people ride pushys but if they could just get the f*** out of my way in the twistys I would not feel like running them of the road, every time I ride the royal national park they f*** me up.
I used to race at the Velodrome, where the real drug cheaters hang out LOL.
Cyclists piss me off as much as the next guy. I did my best to make sure i wasn't hindering cars. I'd start my ride at 6am and be off the roads by 9am at the absolute latest.
Never been abused. Never did anything to be abused at. Obeyed road rules as if i was driving a car. If i did find myself stuck out late on a main road i would go up on the footpath to ensure i was not slowing traffic (something 99% of lycra pro's out there don't do). I stopped doing large club rides after nearly causing accidents from the train completely disregarding road rules. The problem is you are packed so tight you can't just stop or you will cause a massive crash.
I've abused many cyclists. A large percentage of road cyclists ARE dickheads. Certain clubs in the cycling community are well known for their hazardous ways. If you think the Ducati guys are snobs, they don't have shit on some of the cycling clubs LOL. It's REALLY bad and you come across it ALL the time. I almost got into a fight at the track when a snob was bagging out my bike to his friends (standing right behind me). The 70kg noodle boy soon ran out of balls when an upset 96kg juice monkey turned around, trod on his foot and literally walked through him LOL. They all moved after that, never heard a peep. Won all my sprints that night so that made up for it :)
In the defence of cyclists, they will ride 2 abreast or take up half a lane because dickhead cars will try and run you into the gutter. You need buffer space on that gutter and need to force cars to be a bit more friendly.
Road cyclists won't ever ride on the footpath because you get flat tyres or dented rims from going up the road to the footpath (caused by the 2cm high cement). Personally i think that's a load of bullshit because i managed to do it for years without a buckle or a single flat. However this is the excuse they will give you for why they don't ride on the footpath.... oh and that it's illegal.... *cough* but apparently running red lights isn't *cough*.

I'm another one who rides the pushy a fair bit...and I reckon they're a bunch of fugen pillowbiters too. One encounter I had with these dickheads was many years ago when I used to do a fair bit of towing horses to shows etc. I had a particularly difficult horse on and had to be very considered in the way I drove. I was idling up to a set of lights and this dickhead on a pushbike went around and then propped dead still about 50m back from the lights. I couldn't slam the brakes on so had to carefully go around him. He then got physically violent. I should have just gone over him instead of around!

What a prick! Someone else has made the point that the donut eaters need to keep an eye on 'em. But I don't think that they ever will. I think given the volume of traffic and the lack of pedestrian/cycle ways they need to introduce some sort of cycle/rider licencing programme. OH Oh ....... I can feel another NSW state tax coming on. Still Nathan (the sacrificial goat) Rees won't mind. He won't be around to suffer the consequences
It's a week by week charade.

That's amazing, how many Busa riders secretly wear lycra eh? I did all my serious cycling in the country so a peleton was maybe 4 guys! never a problem and around Collie the truckies were brilliant. Now I'm in Perth I see 50 cyclists in peletons, but most very early. I agree most are up themselves a bit. yep I have to put my hand up, used to grab the back of the old coal trucks in Collie if I fealt too tied to climb the hills! Top speed on one road 99km/hr, three of us and we couldn't break the speed limit! Sprinters!!! Did a training ride one time with that american bird Tyler-Sharman. Not sure of the spelling, but she road for Oz until busted on drugs. Now she would flatten anyone! THIGHS!!!!!! Couldn't keep up with her either!
