Interesting question db, I'll give you three reasons why I didn't join you today.
1. Family comitments in the morning,
2. I do prefer to ride 'alternate roads' on days like today to stay away from and I had a feeling that you might go up around those parts,
3. I had planned to ride in the afternoon with a few friends from up the street and they're into leasurely riding which I didn't think would suit.
I know that if I had turned up then we could have discussed alternate routes but the bottom line is that I simply had other things on today. Perhaps an earlier post would help but by the same token it's a shiter to organise a ride a week in advance and have the weather turn out .
I don't know whether folks think that because there will be a pack of busas, we all have to go at light-speed all of the time that would make plod happy. No one can afford to loose thier licence. I certainly would like to keep mine this time...
I don't have a hard answer for ya mate, but I can say that in the last 4ish months of being in the club, I've met, or know of, about 30 Victorian members, max. 600 members ? Are there 600 Busas in Victoria??? If there are then they're hidden not ridden That I don't get. Whats the point of a bike like this if you just keep it in the shed / bedroom and lick it from time to time?
Best of luck with your quest, and now that I've put in my 2 cents, I'll join
Cheers,
