A sure fire way of picking a cop car in vic is to look at the rear window for the aerial. The police use a specific type. It's around 200mm long, straight (no twists, coils, etc) with a little round ball on top. Only cops have these aerials.
Wagons and 4x4's will have them mounted on the front windscreen, but all sedans will be on the rear.
I don't think Vic's use any WRX's anymore as two many were written off! And they think they can drive - of course it's safe for them to speed.
