Fact, the NSW Police force do use and use on a regular basis rental cars plus you would be surprised what other cars are sitting in the garages at times--although not always used for Highway Jockeys.

Going down to the ski fields this year there were 2 Holden SS utes with mobile radar fitted and tinted windows. One was red and the other a yellow/green clour. These weren't rentals and came from Sydney.
