Protection?

I used to be a Squid when younger.. All sand shoes, jeans, t-shirt with the only safety gear the helmet (and that was removed often when out of town). I guess it's the idea of being indestructible that young has??
Now I wear full gear most of the time, though I have riden without gloves on hot days, or used just a fingerless leather glove....

The way I see it now is that an accident is exactly that.. Shit that happens without warning... Yes we can invite accidents by being more careless but even e safest rider can have an accident because shit happens.

So how much pain do you want when the shit happens that's not your fault?
