Battery dead

9 yrs Wardy? Jesus! That's a good run! Off to pick up a battery and a Ctek today. Was wondering if anyone has a remote charging point set up so you don't have to take the seat off and on each time? Would be interested to see how they did that?

I did a thread on putting in LEDs and a charging point under hump but can't find it anymore...
just get a fuse holder, weather proof ciggie socket and wire it straight to battery and locate under hump.. takes me about 5 seconds to hook up my trickle charger these days

You just reminded me I installed a cigarette charger under the hump to charge up my accecories, might be able to charge the battery that way? Just checking on the motobatt which was recommended for the 06 model and it is only 160 CCA. Where the Yuasa one I did have was 230CCA. Big difference?

Yep, thats how I trickle charge mine.. put a ciggie plug on end of charger leads and plug into socket... works a treat and starts every time

make sure ur socket is direct wired to battery (an inline fuse wont hurt as they only flow at under 1amp)
