Volvi - The way balls explained it to me - pretty much said that it was better to have manual one anyway & adjust it when serviced. reason he said was due to the fact he had to change it on new gixxer 1k's as well because of the same problems & auto ones have been known to fail anyway. Better safe then sorry & thats why I did mine. being a 2001 I dont have warranty anymore if my bikes heart blew - I 'd be shattered "Busa riders always count in three's.... 100, 200, 300"
