I understand that clutchless shifting would screw any gearbox, and hence I don't do it as this bike is my daily mode of transport and I need the longevity.
However if there is a faulty mechanism (i.e. clutch not fully engaging for example) to contribute to the premature wearing of other parts, how can they say it is rider error.
