You guys have 99's right, the fuel tank outlet has a strainer in it so the pump is safe from foreign objects, but you need a filter post pump, , i like the short gm filters , there steel housing is very tough, may need some insulation against heat, bit of wetsuit material will do , same with the pump , put it in a stubby holder
