Planning a week ride in Victoria

I've got a friend coming over from Brazil next April/May and I'm planning a ride throughout Victoria for the week and want to know of any recommendations for accomodation and roads etc...that anyone may have.

The general planned route is;
Melbourne > Sorrento > Ferry accross to Queenscliff > GOR through to the Otways > Colac > Ballarat > Broadford > Healsville > Mansfield > Mt Bulla > Mt Hotham > Sale > Inverloch > Philip Island and back into Melbourne.

If anyone has got any suggestions or anything to help me plan this,
or even if you want to come along let me know.
