Thanks Bruce, glad I could be part of your project!,
I also learn't a bit about the differences between the Gen2's and gen1's engine wise, most of the changes are hard to see but once you measure and compare parts the reason for the increase in hp from a gen1 to a gen 2 become obvious.
When I set the comp. ratio for Bruces motor we discussed how far we were going to go with it, Bruce maintained he didn't want a highly strung motor and wanted to run pump fuel, being able to do another lap of the country was on the cards as well! In the end I set it up a little bit higher than we first decided, figuring the bigger cams would reduce the static comp. ratio.
I still believe theres still a bit more in it yet, once it done a few k's we'll revist the idea of upping the comp. ratio futher and maybe some cam retiming.
