Moving the battery around

You can get good glassmat technology batterys like the DEKA that have terminal positions for flat or upright
Many std type sealed batterys can be laid down, eg the R! has its battery nearly flat std

I've used the DEKA, damn fine battery.

In regards to the sealed units... I'm wondering if canting the battery to 45 degrees means that a proportion of the plates will be permanently dry. The acid level when upright would mean the plates are always wet, whereas canting to 45 degree would expose a portion of the plates for the majority of the time (especially when parked) and would probably cause damage? Just a thought.
