bad timing between throttle and foot - you only have to be slightly late and end forcing the gears in - not using clutch isnt neccesarily teh culprit either just being heavy footed with the shifter cab bend teh fork selectors .. slamming teh gears doing low gear wheelies also - ...bit like my shit typing :)

unless your chain is real slack, 1st & 2nd gear jumping usually means rounded/worn gears and bent forks - bugger eh
