I have the same problem with numb hands, I've put it down to reduced blood flow to my hands because of the angle of my wrists on the grips. The reason I think this is it, is because it is considerably worse at low speeds, but happens over time at every speed. I know it isn't much, but I shake out my hands at each set of lights and can do it at up to silly kms/hr.
I've always just though it was part of the deal, I'm interested to see what other people come up with.
A set of Heli Bars will help, they bring the barsb upwards and back towards you, taking pressure off the wrists. I have a little osteo arthritis in my wrists and knees so I appreciate the bars.
