There is a bloke on ebay who sells mounts for gps/video cameras for bikes. They are CNC cut & use the top 4 tank/filler cap bolts to mount. It bolts around the top half of the filler cap ring & puts the gps just above the bottom of the top clamp. They are only around the $20 mark & look sturdy enough to hold a heavier modern video camera, let alone a gps.
