After some advice from a mate who was a race mechanic for a WSBK team, I don't use the clutch on up shifts anymore, just preload the selector & roll off the throttle slightly. The reduction in power helps the gears align properly & you get a solid, consistent shift & never hit the false neutral. It's apparently better for the clutch too. Alot like the principal behind road rangers.
