ahhh so it's simple, don't ride with plates if you plan to run....
doesn't help tho when you have a specially designed bike or paint scheme... individuality comes with easier recognition.....

That is the simple reason I have never had personalised plates. I dearly wanted "Madmax" or similar, but too many people will remember the plates if I play up in the traffic. Mind you, the bling may make it memorable too, but not a means of solid identification - I hope!!
