FROM NEUTRAL TO 1 GEAR

The clutch needs to get the oil into the plates. When the bike is cold, I recommend that you work the clutch once or twice before going into first gear.
Works a treat on my K8 and slips in smoothly all the time. Sometimes you can't even hear it go in.

When the bike is cold it slips in smoothly, but when hot it is notthere must be oil in the plates after a few miles.
