Update on the Sliders.
1. Ended up cutting the 2" hole and inserting the sliders (as per pic 2). This was done mainly because they exteneded too far when mounted on the "outside" of the fairing.
2. the gap between the engine mounts and the fairing is about 15mm deeper on the left side. To get a symetrical fit I cut the "stub" off the RHS slider (leaving a little b/c the engine mount is sloping and countersunk).
3. I have chrome sliders - I dont recommend these. Unfortunately they can damage paintwork on other vehicles more easily than teflon / plastic sliders.
