1300 the lack of skilled workers in this country is a worry liberal gov killed of the tafe's and tech schools yes we are not full there is plenty of dessert to live in. i think the inflection of we are full is the fact the water supply and available fertile land is getting stretched too it limits for this country therefor we are getting full.Better managment and a politcal spine to speak up/loose the bad attidude we so proudly display (ie:we are laid back,she'l be right)all these where all good and fine in the 60's/70's but not today.There is too much to loose with being reactive and not pro active towards rising problems like water shortage and fertile land .
maybe if these migrant workers were willing to work at it migrants do work at it dude thats why they where asked to come here and build this country up in the 50's,60's and 70'sthey might just be able to get the jobs in there own country that we seem to be taking from them what you are taking in are people like Dr Pathel and so forth that come from near or third world country conditions and you can pay them a pitence and get away with it.Im preety sure if you asked a Swiss,German or even an Aussie who come from rich or strong countries and offered the same wages they would tell you to stick it where the sun dont shine ,creating the problem of why skilled and highly educated people here are going back overseas conditions according to the stats. although on saying that we need skilled workers what we should be doing though is encouraging the youth of today in the ideas of owning your own business and being a trady instead of a button monkey
and working for some other slob I agree 10001% but the basic point to all that is good parenting,schooling which unfortuneately its very poor here according to a whole array of family groups.Im a generation X and when I see a kid who does not know what the word respect means it only portays on his parents and their skills.When I was younger there was no such thing as "its none of your business"or "Im 16 and I do as i want" kind of crap it was do as youre told or else.As you all know these things I mentioned are a mild version of the truth and in reality todays kids(not all thank god) are troubled,direspectful and found everything on a platter for them compared to the older generation .
