These are ones that I've been given before and I can add to your list Shredder.

I'm not riding with you, you're a nut case..... TRUE...
My missus won't let me go...... TRUE but sad.
I can't afford the petrol to go that far..... TRUE but sad as well
The kids have sport in the morning..... TRUE but OK.
I forgot that daylight savings started and missed the kick off..... TRUE.
