I'll be getting a closer view this evening , doing night shift at one of the fires, last week was lake William Hovell to Cheshunt, find out at 4 where this time.

Yep BBB i hope it buckets down soon , no hope of putting this fire out.
We are just out there for assett protection, spent thurs nite blacking out around a winery where things must have been very scary during the day,front lawn browned off from lack of water had 6 big black circles where embers had landed , i think they used sprinklers on the roof to save the house. 5-6 vines in from the edge were scorched to crispy.
Then when that was safe went to an area that burnt a week ago to put out a tree that had reignited and showering sparks across a firebreak to an unburnt area (one of the few left in the area)

I heard the other day the Elvises had a 10 man crew including service personel each .
