Accesory plug is on the right side as you sit on the bike.

Blue and Red arrows are a SMG extra...

I agree with FF1 about the soldered joints too, take those crimping connectors you got from Supa Cheap & toss em

Finding the tach wire is a lot easier if you unbolt the instrument panel, lift it out & remove the connector plug.
Then you can see much better & trace the tach wire back in the loom to a convenient place to add the join.

Hey Bill those maggots certianly pull the cover home sweet don't they If it wasn't for the oil ya wouldn't need bolts
If you remove the left hand gauge surround and look at where the loom splits and goes of up to the gauges, if you peel a small amount of the loom wrap away from this section you can pick up the tach wire there.

Andy the black colour is a block out cover, and the red is for night use if required. They come with a black cover and a cover the same colour as the light led's To get a blue cover you would have to order a shift light with blue LED (Wouldn't recommend it)
Goiod to hear it's all working ...as they do

Hi Andy. You may be able to get a "blue cover" at shops like Clark Rubber. They may be listed as a chair-leg thingie, or a door stopper... don't know if it'll be transparent though.

The shift light is red because red is faster!

One thing I just noticed , my light works perfectly set on 2 cyl and on 4 cyl setting it doesnt register , Why is that you reckon , I dont care what it is set on as long as it tells me when to change at the right time!!
