I am 6' and 3" tall, the intension to get in shape is because in about 54 weeks I will be 40.......a big number and I want to be in best of my shape of my life.

I do workout a lot more then the combination of the on days and off days. But it suites me as a person as I got lot of energy and have a desk job hence nothing to burn.

My goal is that on my 40th birthday, I should have a body to die for (just a personal goal) so for the last few months I will be off salt and with lot less fluid, I need more guidence on what to and not to eat to achive my goals, I am very much adaptive on my training regime.

Current training program is from
http://www.t-nation.com/free_online_prog...a_protocol

this will continue for 4 more weeks and then we will again change the program.

Cheers,

Bill

Just a thought; all being well and you are doing what you are supposed to be doing at the gym, if you could swim 2km twice or 3 x a week, that should also shape you up really well as far as your overall shape is concerned. Cardio-vascular work like swimming will also give you that extra bit of icing on the cake as you will also feel a genuine feeling of well-being if not "lightness" with your entire body, due to endorphines tickling your brain. The thing about swimming is that it is very low impact compared to pounding on the pavement and you can do it at your own pace and still get the most excellent results. Last thing, get your overall health, especially blood pressure and sugar and cholestrol checked professionally. Eat lots of fruit and vegetables if you don't already.

Swimming is one thing that I cannot get grip on. I am not Buoyant enough. All I can swim is about 20 mts and Pi_freak

I took lessons in swimming last year and still struggling......hence no swimming for me.

I used to be exactly the same way. Take it REAL slow to start with in a 25m pool and only do breaststroke. Don't be in a hurry and don't panic. Go as slow as POSSIBLE! If you can do that for 4 laps, that's 100m and you are on your way. Always REST at the end of each lap to catch your breath, cos we are not trying to be professionals here.
Before you know it, you'll be doing 500m to 1000m.
Oh, throe in a kickboard and fins in-between those and you're laughing!

yup take along the flippers and floaties, it helps a LOT. But when my forearms get tired, I do several laps kicking & vice versa...

forget the homoerotic mirror gazing waxed look. go for core strength.

this is usually regarded as the strongest human ever to have lived. nothing simpler than lifting a simple weight over your head. the 48kg olympic class can lift more than ronnie coleman and other 360lb body builders and co. so, who can lift a busa and a bag of cement above their heads this fast LOL?

Pisarenko is considered skinny at 120 -128kg in the super heavies where some weigh in at 180kg. This is core strength. his claim of 280 and a 500 total in training is totally believable by most experts. he was robbed by the 1984 olympic boycotte and left in limbo, and stripped of his recoreds due to drug allegations, which all lifters were on anyway.

there is something scary about this man.

check this scientific KW rating comparing famous powerlifter with Pisarenko. its embarrassing.

Hey Bill, I'm not sure if this will be helpful or not? but this bloke might be able to give a bit of added advice, he's on my youtube friends list, his page here: http://www.youtube.com/user/takismilas

He was once a member here (the bloke with the supercharged Gen II) and there is a few photo's of him (and his Busa) here: http://www.australian-hayabusa-club.com/...?tid=13452

He's actually a bit bigger now from some of the youtube video's he's posted, so I thought that it might be worth a try?
