Any Gym Junkies... Need guidance - Bill Gaheer - 30-08-2010 Hi guys I need some guidence and coaching - I am into workout for past 5 years - it was all about keeping fit till about 3 months back when I decided that I need to push the limits and as per the plan I have 54 weeks to prepare for a photoshoot where I should have a 6 pack and all the other goods. If anyone could guide me to a great instructor or help me achieve my goals - I would be thankful from the bottom of my heart. Cheers Bill RE: Any Gym Junkies... Need guidance - Heidi1 - 30-08-2010 Can't help with the prep, but SEND PHOTOS when you are done! GOOD LUCK! That sounds like a great (if completely incomprehensible) goal. RE: Any Gym Junkies... Hutch99, Fully aware of this, about 6 months in a year I am in my lean food period so all I have is lot of meat and shakes - current period is my bulk up period hence loading on lots of carbs. I have gone from 120 KG 42% BMI to 81 Kg and 14% BMI then slowly added weight with a on and off process - I would add 10 KG and shed 5 to 6 Kg - currently I am on 106 (about 3 months back I was 96 KG at 14% BMI and was lean). Problem is that I had no help from anyone in terms of what and how to eat. Even in my lean period I carry lot of fluid in my body (i could reach up to 4 pack) and i don't have definitions. So the next 54 weeks is all about planning, dieting and working out. I need definitions, almost like a body builder.... hence I need help. RE: Any Gym Junkies... Need guidance - pan - 30-08-2010 If all else fails, I'll volunteer my body as a double... and they can just photoshop your face into it if you like... RE: Any Gym Junkies... Need guidance - Heidi1 - 30-08-2010 Oh shut up all of you. I think you might have to go somewhere other than the busa club for help with this Bill, most of us need 1300cc engines just to pull our barge arses around. RE: Any Gym Junkies... Need guidance - Throwdown! - 01-09-2010 RE: Any Gym Junkies... Need guidance - Heidi1 - 01-09-2010 WOW!! That is incredibly detailed, thanks Throwdown. RE: Any Gym Junkies... Need guidance - BSA - 01-09-2010 The gym is my favourite place. It's right next to the bakery, oops, sorry, carry on. RE: Any Gym Junkies... Need guidance - Bill Gaheer - 01-09-2010 Thank you Throwdown, very valueable advice and have learned a lot from it. I am 6' and 3" tall, the intension to get in shape is because in about 54 weeks I will be 40.......a big number and I want to be in best of my shape of my life. I do workout a lot more then the combination of the on days and off days. But it suites me as a person as I got lot of energy and have a desk job hence nothing to burn. My goal is that on my 40th birthday, I should have a body to die for (just a personal goal) so for the last few months I will be off salt and with lot less fluid, I need more guidence on what to and not to eat to achive my goals, I am very much adaptive on my training regime. Current training program is from http://www.t-nation.com/free_online_program/sports_body_training_muscle_anaconda/anaconda_protocol this will continue for 4 more weeks and then we will again change the program. Cheers, Bill RE: Any Gym Junkies... Need guidance - [UNIT] - 01-09-2010 I can't help you get fit as such. I'm more about putting on size. I usually do one muscle a day for about 5/6 excersizes ( 4 sets each + super sets etc). For example of I'm doing db incline bench I'll do 6-8 reps at 40+kg then drop 25% and do another 8-10 straight away. All this 4 times. Then do another 4/5 chest excersizes i'n the same pattern. Try destroy all parts of the muscle.. RE: Any Gym Junkies... Need guidance - Bill Gaheer - 01-09-2010 Hi Andrew Based on some knowledge which I have I won't recommend sizing up at 22 yr of age. Reason being if you take a break in between - one can hit obesity within months of leaving gym. This is based on personal exp of a family member. |
