Bottom end lag?? Shit, my bike is completely stock and I can crack the throttle full open from idle in 6th gear (about 45km/h) and she pulls sweetly all the way. Sure the acceleration is nothing to write home about but it's instant and smooth. Don't forget the Hayabusa has the timing retarded in first and second gear to prevent backflipping it. Maybe fit a "speedo healer" or TRE (I think that's what they call it- I got a shit memory, someone will know what I'm jibbering about) if you want harder launches.

Timing is retarded in the first four gears I'm pretty sure. The smart TRE doesn't really make that much difference (not that I noticed anyway, although it does disable the top speed limiter)....maybe a change of sprockets is on the cards, but then you'll lose top end.
