I'm not sure what I'm doing on the weekend, but if I can I might meet up with Raz (ok raz?) and come down for a while.

How about a 10am start. That way we can get a ride in on the arvo for those who are interested.

Was planning on doing a run up mountain hwy up Mt Dandy when finished, for those who want to test out their bikes after the tinkering.

sure Aza

sounds good pinky can't wait hehehe

However - I know I wont be doing the grill mesh that day nor the hump mod - I'll need set tools to do most of that work. but I do want to soften up the rear a little. "Busa riders always count in three's.... 100, 200, 300"

If anyone wants to try changing the front forks I'm gonna try and get to gdy's tomorrow to pick mine up to do on the weekend.

Anyone know what to do or am I going in blind like most of what I've done so far (I really should get a manual)

Forks : You need a front stand or jack to get the front wheel off the ground.

For good access, remove L & R fairings & nose cone.

Jack up front end & remove wheel, mudguard & brake calipers.

Don't disconnect the brake lines, just wire the calipers back out of the way.

Undo the pinch bolts at the top & bottom triple clamps & slide the fork staunchions out.

Later axles need a hex head tool not supplied in tool kit.

sounds simple enough. Would any Suzuki dealer have that hex head tool thing?

Maggot - don't worry about the hex-head thingy, just rush into it with absolutely no forethought, and then wonder why it took you all day to get a fairly simple job done, - same as when I pulled the clutch and basket out of mine

figures - we can only do so much to them as we only know so much - seems you guys up in NSW & QLD know a lot more then we do.

So sit back & laugh at us m8ee ;) I am sure its going to be funny when one of us totally fucks something "Busa riders always count in three's.... 100, 200, 300"

Umm Raz mate you've seen my bike, how can I make it any worse besides i've got no clue whatsoever and I've re-built it from basically a bare frame and she's handled a good speedo topping run without any hassles since then (except my exhaust not being attached and the whole bent forks bit )

Hey soft cocks, you dont need a dremel,i did mine with a hacksaw,a pair of pliers and a file....no probs
And as for the forks,if you had the centerstand fitted, its a breeze.
