Loophole in wheelie law?
#16
well all I can say is my taste for coffee is obviously much different than a lot of folks - 3 times I have been there it was shit, the 2 times I got a B/E S/wich were a joke and the wait was ridiculous. Hey different strokes - I just prefer riding not sitting for 2 hours crapping on about how good I THINK I am lol, enjoy guys as long as the bike at leeast gets out .. even if it is just on the fine sundays Confused

Prefer the Oxley, often ride up just for the day

See, I can't shake the feeling that you are accusing us of sitting and drinking coffee, not riding. That is a pretty big call mate.

Anyone?

Hey John,
you'll usually pull a "Ride Manner Dangerous" if you get your front wheel off the road at all mate. That's pretty standard here in the ACT, and our coppers aren't as feral as those traffic wallopers you have in NSW. A Manner dangerous is veiwed pretty seriously by most Courts and will usually lead to loss of licence and a pretty still fine. If you add speed the totals just keep going upwards.

Cheers

not accusing you at all I am stating that I have been there a few times and it seems that there are a ton of riders who go up there for coffee and chat (speshlee italian bikes) plus I know a few and work with a couple, have followed a lot up there and when I come back ther a few hours later they are still there, bikes havnt moved - just my personal observation but it seems the "place to be seen" and teh guys I ride with are like me and avoid teh place as well for the saem reasons. Hey stop where ever you want, I dont care - this forun is free speach isnt it even for other idiots who make stupid statements all teh time - I jsut felt like being a prick and making a stupid statement Lol3

These things vary state to state - down here, it can be covered under dangerous driving, but there are laws that explicitly prohibit it. Same with burn outs (deliberately causing one or more wheels of your vehicle to lose traction). There is even a law that says you must be seated on the seat provided and facing the front...

I have a theory (the Canberra Club loves a theory).

There are two types of people who ride motorcycles, the ones who talk and the ones who ride. The ones who talk themselves up a lot, are rarely the ones who can actually put the rubber to the road. It is usually the ones who don't talk themselves up all the time who actually ride.

OH SORRY, am I being a prick?

I agree totally - I had a friend that used to tell me how much he liked to ride and wanted to buy another motor x bike ( sorry this is about dirt bikes not my busa! )

So he finally got his CR250 ( i had a CR500 ) so of to the bush we go - takes us about 2 hours to get to the riding spot - I am all set up for a full days ride ..... after 2 hours of riding ( 20 min each time because he is a pussy ) he informs me that he wants to go home now to wash his bike ?????

WHAT the hell ???? I tell him he has ALL friggen week to wash his bike -- but insists that it will take him hours to polish the bike. So very pissed off - we packed up and set back home --

Few days later he rings me to organize a ride the following weekend - in which i told him thanks but no thanks. I bust my ass working hard all week and live for the rides --- i don't work that hard to ride my bike for 2 hours then spend 5 hours cleaning it ...

My stunt jumper possibly washed during the week , and that was via a High pressure water blaster - 10 minutes - maybe 30 min Pm work - filters and so forth

So as Heidi pointed out - some are riders that dont want to talk --- some are Talkers that are in love with the idea of riding ....

Heidi1 Wrote:I'd never been to Road Warriors before, but I called in a few weeks ago on my way up to Forster/Tuncurry. What a TOP PLACE! My eyes were out on stalks. Every time I'm heading north from now on, I'm calling in. Nice coffee and the best toasted sandwich I've had in ages. I sat (fairly) quietly and talked my little sister through the bikes that were coming and going. She then acted the whole thing out for my grandmother and pointed out how really uncool I am.

OMG

that place has shit food and shit coffee. Its a good place to meet though.

Another plus is the owner does not wanto wash you down with a bucket of water if you ride past on one wheel heheheheh

Jeez Heidi you were gentle on a guy trying to tell you that you were
a cafe' racer considering your last "little" ride.Pi_thumbsup
I'm confused was this thread about getting off a ticket or where to find the best coffee or just getting yourself off?
