Loophole in wheelie law? - Ruffy - 16-06-2008 Was chatting to a few people at the Road Warriors yesterday and someone mentioned that they had got off a wheelie fine because they werent speeding and he proved to the magistrate that he was in control of the bike the whole time - apparently there is a loophole regarding the speed issue, as long as you do it under the posted limit you can get off Anyone? Ruffy RE: Loophole in wheelie law? - Macbusa - 16-06-2008 well, i been in that exact situation and i was going pretty slow.. the copper didn't care about speeds, it was dangerous charge right there, i went to court and there was no way i could get out of it... fine & loss of licence. They can get you for many other charges for wheelies, not just for speed. I wouldn't believe that info you got. also i got front page of the newspaper... RE: Loophole in wheelie law? - simmo - 16-06-2008 Try it out Ruffy let us know what public transport is all about RE: Loophole in wheelie law? - Ruffy - 16-06-2008 I'm only on a Gen 1 Simmo - couldn't pull the skin off custard let alone get the front wheel up Ruffy RE: Loophole in wheelie law? - kawasuki - 16-06-2008 Ruffy Wrote:I'm only on a Gen 1 Simmo - couldn't pull the skin off custard let alone get the front wheel up Ring up law stop (uno ,,would u trust this man? RE: Loophole in wheelie law? - busakid08 - 17-06-2008 I got done doing a wheelie a few years ago on my Blade - 5:45AM, Rouse Hill, no traffic - taking off from lights so still under speed limit - ching ching thanks for coming mate and I will have your license for a little whiel too - dont believe any stories from Road Warriors bullshit cafe I say - once in a while someone may actually jag a lucky one (I once got let off doing 205kph) but basically coppers will always win most of the time. And why do so many riders ride up the freeway to RW, crap on for 2 hours and ride back - thats not riding thats wanking - dont worry you wont see me there cos I will be riding past actually enjoying my bike not looking at it :) RE: Loophole in wheelie law? - Ruffy - 17-06-2008 Well some days when you are on the way back from the Putty and you get caught out by the rain - it's nice to stop there to warm your self by the fire, grab a hot drink and something to eat, catch up with some mates - meet new ones and ah - have a wank of course Cheers Ruffy RE: Loophole in wheelie law? - piperjon - 17-06-2008 Ruffy Wrote:Well some days when you are on the way back from the Putty and you get caught out by the rain - it's nice to stop there to warm your self by the fire, grab a hot drink and something to eat, catch up with some mates - meet new ones and ah - have a wank of course Hay Ruffy, Is that the last fuel stop on your left before to get to singleton on the putty road? Cheers John RE: Loophole in wheelie law? - Heidi1 - 17-06-2008 I'd never been to Road Warriors before, but I called in a few weeks ago on my way up to Forster/Tuncurry. What a TOP PLACE! My eyes were out on stalks. Every time I'm heading north from now on, I'm calling in. Nice coffee and the best toasted sandwich I've had in ages. I sat (fairly) quietly and talked my little sister through the bikes that were coming and going. She then acted the whole thing out for my grandmother and pointed out how really uncool I am. RE: Loophole in wheelie law? - Ozboc - 17-06-2008 Something of mild interest , and kind of on topic - i was reading through a motorcycle magazine maybe a year ago ( don't remember which one ) And there was a guy that had been pulled over from police, the guy was doing double to speed limit on the freeway - so off to court he had to go He was charged with Speeding and driving in a dangerous reckless manor- At court he coped the speeding fine on the chin but got his solicitor to fight the other charge. His defense was that he was an armature Motorcycle racer and as a result he was often traveling at such high speeds and therefore in perfect control of his vehicle at all times and not riding in a dangerous and reckless manor -- Judge agreed and dropped that charge , but still pinned him for the speeding fine maybe useful information to those of use that race in any kind of capacity and can prove your handling of a vehicle at such high speeds Boc RE: Loophole in wheelie law? - Ruffy - 17-06-2008 piperjon Wrote:Ruffy Wrote:Well some days when you are on the way back from the Putty and you get caught out by the rain - it's nice to stop there to warm your self by the fire, grab a hot drink and something to eat, catch up with some mates - meet new ones and ah - have a wank of course No Mate - You are thinking of the Halfway Road house, can get petrol there but it's usually 10 to 15 cents dearer than in town. I top up in Windsor and normally have just over 1/2 tank left when i get to Broke(top up there) even overusing my right wrist during the trip, then you continue from Broke through Wollombi to Peats Ridge and back onto the Old Pacific Hwy or "Old Rd" or "Wankers Way". I call this run The Loop which usually takes 3 1/2 hrs depending on your stops and if you have a few at the Wollombi Pub (Food is ****). Better to stop at Kulnura for lunch - plenty room to sit and food is much better. Cheers Ruffy Damn cramps - better change hands RE: Loophole in wheelie law? - Legend - 17-06-2008 Not having control of vechile is what I got (he obviously knew me!). Fine and points thats it.......was a while ago thou, a long long while! Leonard.
